Mumbai: Three people, including a woman, have died after a seven-storey building collapsed in a Mumbai suburb this morning
Several people are suspected trapped in the debris of a huge pile of concrete slabs, rubble and dust.
Dozens of firefighters and emergency workers are digging through the rubble in search for survivors.
The building had been condemned as unsafe by city officials.
While it was officially uninhabited, some families were living there illegally, said rescue officials. Another dozen or so people had set up makeshift homes at the base of the building in the Santa Cruz suburb.
